It is durable, beautiful, and natural. Despite getting wet, as long as you let it dry out between baths and showers then it will last a life time due to the anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties of all woods (which of course is why they make the best kitchen cutting boards too). The mahogany in this product is sustainably sourced. This is important as much mahogany is taken from primary rainforest which should be avoided if possible, for obvious reasons.
