Night Time Rally Driving Experience - Silverstone

Rally Driving Experience Days: If a regular rally driving experience day isn't quite extreme enough for you, how about a rally driving experience night? Silverstone rally school offers a superb 7 hour evening rally course, so you can try rally driving in the dark! You will drive a legendary Ford Escort Mk 2 rally car that has been modified with auxiliary lighting that illuminates the challenging rally stage in front of you. Throughout the rally driving course, you will learn and practice all the fundamental skills of rally driving - but with the added excitement of declining light! As the sun goes down and the night draws in, your rally driving lesson will get all the more intense, as you try out your new moves around a dark track! The night rally experience begins in the afternoon, with a briefing and a pretty informal classroom session on the fundamentals of rally driving. After this you will head out to the driving area to practice a few rally driving techniques, including power slides, handbrake turns, hard cornering, braking, and car positioning. After you have spent a little time working on your skills, you can put them to the test on the rally stage, while it is still light. Once you have mastered driving around the rally stage, it's time for a well-earned pit stop. Dinner is usually eaten on-site at Silverstone rally school, and while you are eating, your rally car will be prepared for night driving with auxiliary lighting being attached. After you have refueled you will hit the track again, this time in twilight. Your rally driving instructor will be beside you throughout your driving time to offer tips, support and guidance while you gain confidence - and speed - before it gets really dark! The special night time "arrowed" route that you will be driving on features fast and slow bends, straights and myriad different surfaces, sure to really put your fresh new skills to the test. And when your own drive time is complete, you will be taken for a seriously speedy passenger ride around the full stage in the dark!
