Stunningly beautiful and fantastically adept, the wonderful range of Buzzards, Kestrels and Owls held at this countryside centre in Warwickshire will drop the jaws of any teenager lucky enough to get 'hands on' with the winged warriors - and will create memories that will stay with them for a very long time indeed.Their taster will begin with an introduction to the expert falconer for the day. Your child will then be guided round the aviaries to be briefly shown the spectacular array of birds that vary from Owls, Kestrels and Buzzards to Hawks. They will learn the way to handle these fantastic and powerful birds, ready for moving from handling to flying. They will be taught how to engage with the birds (several different types) and have them come to your child as they soar. The falconer will demonstrate and show you how to lure and work the birds in styles that have changed little in many years. What an amazing day!
