Blokarting is a wonderful activity that is very similar to Land Yachting, but using an even smaller chassis; 3-wheeled and made of steel, it is protective and strong but also light, meaning you can quite safely build up a bit of speed. These Blokarting lessons take place on the gorgeous Gwithian beach in Cornwall, except when the beach is busy in the summer months. The Blokart is a versatile little contraption that can be used on grass, astro, tarmac runways, and even ice - all you need is the space. During the busy summer period on the beach the activity takes place on the airfield at Perranporth. Your lesson will begin with a safety briefing and an introduction to the Blokart, then you'll get in and start getting used to how they work. It won't take too long to get the hang of it, and although you'll start quite slowly, with professional instruction and a a little practice, you'll be whizzing along in no time! You'll get a feel for the wind and get to grips with sailing a beam reach, steering, tacking and gybing. As you start to feel more and more confident with the kart, you can start sailing for longer runs and building up a bit of speed, to experience the pure rush of having the wind in your face as you fly along the beach at speed!
